A PUB which has been rescued by the local community and hopes to reopen again soon is hosting an information day this weekend.
The Radnor Arms Hotel in New Radnor will be holding the event at the pub this Saturday, March 25, from 11am-3pm.
People will be able to chat to the team, have a look around inside the pub and even have a drink at the outside bar. Meet in the pub car park (LD8 2SP).
The pub trustees are also putting on more events next month, including a quiz at The Hub, School Lane, New Radnor, from 7pm on Sunday, April 2.
From April 5-10, they will be operating the community shop in Kington. The shop is a supporter of the Radnor Arms and has offered to organise the selling of items to raise further funds to pay for the purchase and repair of the pub. If anyone would like to volunteer to help in the shop, contact theradnorarmshotel@hotmail.com.

The committee behind the bid to save the pub, meanwhile, have thanked those who contributed to their sales during their week operating the Kington and District Community shop in January, which raised nearly £2,500.
“We would like to thank everyone who came along and supported us during our week at the Kington and District Community shop in January, raising £2,449 towards the repair of the much loved Radnor Arms Hotel,” said a spokesperson.
“It provided a great opportunity to meet new friends, find treasures and everyday items to purchase. We were delighted with the extent of support from the wider community.
“We would also like to thank everyone who joined the February and March Sunday evening quizzes at The Hub in New Radnor, kindly organised by volunteers Tony and Jane Allport. So far the quizzes have raised a total of £563.”
