A man in his 70s will be sentenced later this year after pleading guilty to raping and sexually assaulting a girl between 2009 and 2015 in Newtown.
Ernest Robert Noddings, from Somerset, admitted committing 12 offences including four counts of assault by penetration, four counts of sexual assault, three counts of rape, and an assault by touching.
The 72-year-old of Barton Close, Berrow, will next appear before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court on April 21.
A sentencing hearing was due to take place on Friday, March 10, but His Honour Judge Timothy Petts adjourned the case for a psychiatric report to be completed and filed to the court.
On the day of his trial on November 11, 2022, Noddings pleaded guilty to assaulting a pre-teenage girl by penetration, raping a pre-teenage girl, and raping a girl aged under 16.
Noddings had, by August 22 last year, pleaded guilty to four counts of sexually assaulting a female; two counts of assaulting a female aged 13 or over by penetration; raping a girl under 13, assaulting a girl under 13 by touching; and assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration.
