A Powys man has appeared before a court to deny a charge of assaulting a child by touching.
Nick Liam Prosser, 29, is alleged to have touched a child, who was under 13 years old, in Presteigne on January 5.
He appeared before Mold Crown Court via video link from HMP Berwyn on Friday (March 10) and spoke only to confirm his name and plead not guilty to the charge.
Prosser, of Lugg View, Presteigne, was wearing a grey jumper and glasses, and was defended by Chaynee Hodgetts, with Laura Knightly prosecuting.
Recorder Simon Mills fixed a trial date for June 19 at Mold Crown Court.
Mr Recorder Mills told Prosser: “This is a virtual hearing because the weather conditions have closed the physical court building.
“The date for your trial in June was already announced in this hearing. By March 27 there has to be filed a suitably detailed defence statement with witness requirements.”
