A NEWTOWN man is to face trial for two offences of inflicting grievous bodily harm on two men in separate incidents in Newtown.
Leigh Peter Dobson, 33, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 7, where he denied maliciously wounding Chris Barnes on September 29 last year.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case and sent it to Mold Crown Court, where Dobson is due to appear on April 6.
Dobson also faces an identical charge in relation to Sean O'Flaherty, who he is accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm upon following an incident outside Newtown’s Pheasant Inn on October 29, 2022.
He denied that offence in December last year and has already appeared at Mold for a plea and trial preparation hearing. He pleaded not guilty at the higher court in January and the case has been set down for trial.
That trial, scheduled to last two days, will start in Mold on June 28.
