A MAN and woman accused of assaulting a man in Newtown last July have denied the offence and elected to have their trial heard at the crown court.
Faye Marie Benyon, 22, and Thomas Robert Heard, 30, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 7.
Each denied an offence of assaulting Thomas Lloyd occasioning him actual bodily harm.
The offence is alleged to have taken place in Newtown on July 30, 2022.
Benyon, of Violet Close, Newtown, and Heard, of Wendon, Pontdolgoch, near Caersws, each chose to have their trial heard at Mold Crown Court.
The case was adjourned, with the defendants set to appear next at Mold on April 6.
