Two people were trapped inside vehicles following a crash on the Newtown Bypass this morning.
Emergency services rushed the scene of the collision between the Pryce Jones and Robert Owen roundabouts at around 8.36am on Wednesday (March 8).
One lane was closed while crews freed the trapped people who were later checked over by paramedics.
The crash site was cleared by 10am, police said.
In a statement, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 8.36am, crews from Newtown and Montgomery were called to an incident on the A489 Newtown Bypass.
“A road traffic collision involving two private motor vehicles had occurred with two patients trapped in vehicles. Patients were extricated and were seen to by the Ambulance Service.
“The Police were also in attendance and continued to manage traffic due to one lane of the bypass remaining closed. Crews left the scene at 9.02am.”
