Members of an animal and climate justice group have taken part in a guerrilla poster campaign round Newtown this Valentine’s Day.

Members from the organisation Animal Rebellion Mid-Wales painted the streets of Newtown on Monday with a Valentine’s Day message calling for an alternative to our current food system.

The Mid Wales branch of the group said the pasted up posters encouraged people “to embrace a plant-based food system built on compassion, not violence.”

The posters, which called on people to ‘not break any hearts this Valentine’s Day’, and be part of a plant-based future, are part of a new campaign by the animal rights and climate justice activists which seeks to bring forward a food system which “ensures justice for every animal and addresses the worst impacts that the current food systems are having on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.”
