Welshpool Magistrates' Court
A NEWTOWN man will face trial later this year after pleading not guilty to assaulting another man.
Martyn Hamer, 46, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court this week, where he denied an assault on Cai Jones in Newtown on September 17 last year.
The court was told on Tuesday, January 24, that Hamer, of Swallow Drive, denies assault, claiming he was acting in self-defence.
Magistrates adjourned the case for a trial, which is set to take place in Welshpool on April 5.
