POLICE are investigating after the body of a man was discovered in a field near Penybont.
The death of the man is being treated as unexplained, with Dyfed Powys Police confirming the body of the male was found on Monday, January 23.
The body is reported locally to have been found on a hill between Penybont and Cefnllys, near Cwmbrith Farm, with the force adding that a police drone has been searching the surrounding area.

“Police are investigating following the discovery of a body of a man in a field in the Penybont area of Llandrindod Wells on Monday, 23rd January,” said police in a statement.
“Next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“Enquiries are ongoing, including a search of the surrounding area with the force drone.”
