ALTHOUGH Rhayader Players have been very busy with various shows over the past three years, it’s been a little while since they’ve been able to put on a pantomime.
Shows have included a wonderful ABBA tribute night, a ‘Step Into Christmas’ cabaret night and, of course, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert.
But fear not, this year, panto is back. Oh, yes it is! Join us for a journey through the woodlands and into the land of fairytale, as we meet a variety of characters including Dame Gertrude the Greengrocer, the Seven Dwarves, Snow White and of course her Prince Charming. But will the wicked Queen Arsenic and her band of comic villains spoil things for them, or will all be well in the end?
Come along to find out this Friday and Saturday, January 27 and 28 at Rhayader Leisure Centre. Evening performances are at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain up.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £4 for children and are available from Rhayader Leisure Centre, Hafod Hardware during their opening hours, or you can pay on the door.
