THE MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice across parts of Powys with temperatures set to plummet below freezing.
The meteorologists warn of icy surfaces across Northern Ireland, southern Scotland, northern England, northern Wales and northern Midlands.
In Shropshire, the yellow weather warning for ice will come into effect today, January 15, at 6pm and it is to end at 10am tomorrow morning, January 16.
In its warning The Met Office said: "Icy surfaces are expected to develop following wintry showers leading to some difficult travelling conditions."

Temperatures are set to go down below zero during the night in the next week, reaching minus three at the beginning on Monday and Tuesday night.
