A POWYS man was issued with two arrest warrants by a court this week after he failed to show up to answer a string of charges.
An initial arrest warrant was issued to Thomas Hughes, from Carno, who is accused of drink driving on December 10 last year – it is said he was driving a Ford Focus on in Ffordd Dol-Llin, Carno, when he was twice the drink drive limit.
The amount of alcohol reportedly in Hughes’ system was said to be 79 micrograms – the legal drink drive limit is just 35 micrograms.
Hughes, of Trem y Noddfa, Carno, is also charged with driving without insurance and without a licence.
The 38-year-old was due to appear at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 10, but failed to attend.
Hughes was also handed a second arrest warrant as he was also due to appear in Welshpool for failing to pay child support.
In both cases, warrants without bail were granted by magistrates.
