Transport for Wales told rail users on Monday that journeys along the Cambrian Line were cancelled, delayed or revised after the lines were blocked "due to a person being hit by a train".
Train services were replaced by buses to move passengers from Welshpool to Shrewsbury stations.
The rail service provider later reported shortly before 6pm on Monday that the disruption had ended and services were no longer affected.
