FLOOD warnings and alerts are in place across Powys this evening (Tuesday, January 10).
With the Met Office announcing a second yellow warning of rain over Wednesday and Thursday, and with river levels rising, Natural Resources Wales have put out warning and alerts.
One of the most affected parts of the area is River Vyrnwy, in Llanymynech, which was issued a flood warning at 3.29pm today.
Natural Resource Wales warned of a peak river level between 4.30 and 4.65 metres and said the following roads could be affected by flooding: B4398 near the canal at New Bridge, Llanymynech, A483 between Llanymynech and Four Crosses, just south of Llanymynech Bridge .

There is also flood alerts in the following areas: River Dyfi at Pont ar Ddyfi, with flooding possible for the A487 north of Machynlleth, Upper Severn with roads close to Caersws, Cilcewydd, Trehelig , Welshpool and Llandrinio that could also be affected with rising river levels, and River Wye with flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected.
The Natural Resources Wales urging people prepare their homes, businesses and farms for the flooding.
