Soaking wet and covered in mud, this poor dog was left tied to a field gate in a Powys village over the weekend.

The "very well fed and friendly" brown and white Staffordshire bull terrier cross was found on Sunday morning (January 8) in Wern Lane, Sarn, near Newtown.

Staff at Windmill Boarding Kennels and Trefaldwyn Vets are appealing for the public's help who may have information about her and can track down the owner.

A photo of the happy and healthy dog has been shared more than 600 times on social media since Sunday afternoon.
