The only filling station in a Powys town is set to reopen this week after it had to temporarily close when a vehicle crashed into the side of the forecourt shop.
Nobody was hurt in the collision on New Year's Eve (Saturday, December 31) which left a wall unstable at Bradleys Costcutter in Llanidloes.
The petrol station in Victoria Avenue is expected to reopen on Tuesday, January 3.
Bradleys Costcutter released a statement saying the business decided to temporarily close for safety reasons.
"On New Year's [Eve] at around 16.30 a vehicle crashed into the side wall of our forecourt shop," a spokesperson for Bradleys Costcutter said. "We took the decision to close the shop due to concerns over the structural damage.
"We are doing our very best to reopen but obviously do not want to do this until we are confident it is safe to do so. We are hoping to reopen at some stage tomorrow (Tuesday, January 3, 2023).
"We apologise for any inconvenience this is causing our customers."
In the meantime, Bradleys Costcutter said customers can still fill up for fuel at nearby stations in Caersws and Newtown.
