CHRISTMAS Day saw villagers near Llanidloes once again take to the Severn river as part of their festive celebrations.
The Dinam Dippers met on Christmas Day morning to join in celebrating Christmas while also bracing themselves in the cold waters of the Severn.
Mince pies and mulled wine were enjoyed by participants who were also able to warm their cockles at the bar.
The event took place near Llandinam Bridge, a single-arch cast-iron Grade II*listed bridge constructed in 1846 and the first cast-iron bridge in the county of Montgomeryshire.
In 1906 Montgomeryshire County Council forbade vehicles weighing over three tonnes to use the bridge and has since been a beloved part of village architecture.
