A WOMAN and a small child remain in a stable condition in hospital following a road traffic collision in Powys on Tuesday.
The crash occurred on the A470 just outside Brecon just after 11am on December 27 and involved a navy Peugeot 208 estate and a Silver Vauxhall Corsa.
The road was closed in both directions following the incident and Dyfed Powys Police said it was reopened shortly before 8pm.
Traffic Wales says the accident has occurred between the Brynich roundabout on the outskirts of Brecon and Pen-isa'r-waen.
“We were called to a two-car collision on the A470 Brecon to Felinfach at approximately 11.15am on Tuesday, December 17,” said police in a statement.
“Two people, a woman and a small child, were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
“The collision involved a navy Peugeot 208 estate travelling northbound and a Silver Vauxhall Corsa traveling south.
“The road was closed for several hours to allow emergency services to deal with the collision, investigative work to begin and for the safe recovery of the vehicles, and reopened at shortly before 8pm.”
