Residents who lost water supply this week will be able to claim compensation from Welsh Water.
Residents in the Llandrindod Wells area have had a week of issues surrounding their water supply. The shortages led to school closures at the beginning of this week and the Council Cabinet holding their meetings remotely after the council offices in the town were forced to close due to the lack of utilities and even required bottled water to be handed out in the Newbridge area.
The shortages lasted until yesterday (December 22) after the town woke up Monday December 19 to find they had no water supply.
Welsh Water have apologised for the shortages and are now offering £70 compensation for anyone who lost their supply for an extended period.

In a statement on social media, the company said: "To customers who've experienced a prolonged loss of supply, we'd like to say sorry.
"There are clearly areas where we should have done better. For household customers without supply for 12 hrs or more we're offering £70 per day in compensation."
The supply issues were not limited to the Llandrindod Wells with a large amount of faults being reported across their network across Wales.
Welsh Water said that the faults were due to the sudden rise in temperatures at the weekend after an extended period of sub zero temperatures.
