THE Llanyre Loo Crew volunteers held their inaugural annual dinner at the Bell Country Inn on November 30, where a beautiful meal was enjoyed by all.
Members of the community came together in the summer of 2022 to carry out work on the public toilets which had been closed for a number of years. Several local businesses, including Marches Architectural Hardware, Elan Electrical Systems Ltd, Phil Taylor Carpentry and Alan Rogers Plumbing, all donated goods and services, enabling the building to be brought up to standard, and it reopened in August this year.
The Loo Crew then formed to provide the opening, closing and cleaning of the toilets on a daily basis.
Further improvements to the building are planned for the forthcoming year.
The Llanyre Loo Crew are pictured at the dinner, where a delighted Kevin Scott was presented with the award of Llanyre Loo Crew Volunteer of Year for 2022.
