A POWYS man is headed to the crown court, where he will answer charges relating to making indecent images of children as well as possessing extreme pornographic images of animals.
Robert Adams, who lives in Builth Wells, appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 23, where he entered no pleas to a total of four charges.
The 45-year-old is charged with making three Category A – the most serious – indecent photographs of a child and two Category C images. He also faces a charge of possessing 17 extreme pornographic images which portrayed a person performing an act of intercourse with a live or dead animal.
The first three charges are alleged to have occurred in Builth between March 1, 2019, and July 6, 2021.

A fourth charge accuses Adams, of Tan y Castell, Builth, of breaching a sexual harm prevention order on July 6, 2021. Adams is said to have held a social media account in a name other than Robert Adams, which he was prohibited from doing by the sexual harm prevention order, which was made by Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on June 25 last year.
Adams entered no pleas on Wednesday, but the court entered not guilty pleas on his behalf, before declining jurisdiction of his case and sending it up to the crown court.
He is due to appear at Merthyr Crown Court on December 21.
