Wales rugby star Dan Lydiate says it's time to "rebuild and go again" after undergoing an operation last night for his broken arm.
The Abbeycwmhir-raised Osprey player suffered the injury to his forearm during Wales' win over Argentina on Saturday (November 12).
The 34-year-old will now miss the rest of the Autumn Nations Series which he described as a "tough one to take".
Lydiate told his 30,000 fans on Instagram today (Thursday) that an operation to place a plate inside his arm went "brilliant".
"I just want to thank everyone for their support over the last couple of days," Lydiate said. "Obviously, I broke my arm earlier on in the Argentina game on Saturday which I'm pretty gutted about. Its' a tough one to take but I had an op last night to put a plate in my arm and all the operation went brilliant.
"So we rebuild and we go again but I just want to thank everyone once again for all their support, I appreciate it."
Wales players wore black armbands during the 20-13 success, in memory of Lydiate’s father John, who sadly died earlier this month.
Lydiate started the match, but was forced off clutching his left wrist, and he was replaced by Jac Morgan, with Tipuric moving from openside to blindside.
