A POWYS-based bus operator with a strong reputation has been given a new contract to run a route that connects Oswestry with villages to the south and east.
Shropshire Council announced on Wednesday, November 9 that Tanat Valley Coaches – based in Llanrhaeadr-Ym-Mochnant in north Powys – is set to take over the bus route from Oswestry following a 're-tendering exercise'.
According to a Shropshire Council Facebook post, the 576 bus from Oswestry to Shrewsbury, which is currently operated by Arriva, will switch to the company, starting on Saturday, December 3.
A spokesman for the council added that the timetable and route will not change, and it will still serve villages including Knockin, Baschurch, Walford and Bomere Heath.
