A VAN driver remains in police custody after he was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The man, aged 34, was arrested following a road traffic collision between a car and van that occurred on the A470 between Llyswen and Llanstephan, near Builth Wells, on Sunday evening, November 6. Dyfed Powys Police said a woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The incident happened at around 6.30pm and resulted in the A470 being closed; it reopened at around 2.30am this morning.
“We were called to a collision between a car and a van on the A470 Llyswen to Llanstephan, shortly before 6.30pm on Sunday (November 6),” Dyfed Powys Police said in a statement.
“One woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road reopened at around 2.30am today.
“The van driver, a 34-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody.”
