A MAN travelling at just shy of 90 miles an hour on the Newtown bypass has been fined and given points on his licence.
Leigh Anthony Hart, 35, was driving a BMW on the A489 just after 7pm on April 16 – he was clocked by police travelling at 87mph; the speed limit on the road is just 60mph.
Hart, of Fforddisa, Prestatyn, was not at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 1, but had sent in a guilty plea by post.
He was fined £323 and must pay £90 costs and a £34 surcharge – making a total of £447. He was also handed 4 points on his licence.
