A man remains in a stable condition in hospital after he was assaulted in Newtown town centre on Sunday morning.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following the attack near the SPAR shop in Broad Street.
The incident happened at around 1.50am on Sunday, October 30.
The man arrested on suspicion of assault was later released on bail pending further police enquiries.
Police officers are appealing to people who may have seen the attack to help them with their investigation by reporting it to Dyfed-Powys Police, either online by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101quoting incident reference number DP-20221031-061
