MAGISTRATES have issued an arrest warrant for a Powys man after he failed to show up for court having being charged with assault.
Duncan Peter Woolard, 51, had been due to appear at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (October 26) but failed to do so.
Woolard, of Werncoed, Disserth, near Newbridge-on-Wye, stands accused of assaulting Philip Smith in Llandrindod on June 30 this year.
Magistrates heard yesterday how a summons letter had been delivered to Woolard, but he had refused to accept it.
They issued a warrant for his arrest, without bail.
