A KNIGHTON man will face a trial next month after he denied breaching the terms of a restraining order.
As part of the terms of the harassment order, issued by Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on October 5, Anthony Stephens was barred from entering Whispering Oaks in Knighton.
However, just five days later, on October 10, he allegedly attended at the address and attempted to gain entry, which he is prohibited from doing by the restraining order.
The 53-year-old, of Fronhir, Knighton, denied breaching the order at a previous hearing and maintained that plea when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court via videolink from prison on Tuesday, October 18.
There was no bail application made this week and Stephens was remanded into custody, where he will remain until his trial date, which is scheduled to take place in Welshpool on November 14.
