A MOTORIST has been fined and given six penalty points after she was caught using her mobile phone while driving in Powys.
Angharad Nia Jones, from Kington, was seen using her mobile at around 3.40pm while driving a Vauxhall Corsa on the A483 Newtown bypass on March 23 this year.
The 32-year-old admitted the offence and was sentenced at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 27.
Jones, of Jasmine Close, Floodgate, near Kington, was fined £123 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 surcharge. She also had six points placed on her driving licence.
