FOLLOWING the postponement of the Builth Bike Bash due to the death of the Queen, a new date has been set and it will now take place this Saturday, September 24.
This family orientated cycling festival takes place on the Groe from 11am-4pm. There will be a lap marked out to ride and the laps will be counted. The target mileage for organisers this year is the total distance of the Tour of Britain, which is 836.5 miles.
For the first hour there will be a half-a-mile lap for the less confident cyclists, then from 12pm until 4pm there will be a one-mile lap marked.
Everyone is encouraged to come along; cycles, scooters, balance bikes, wheelchairs are all suitable for the course. There are no age restrictions, anyone can come and take part.

This is a free event, all people attending will receive a goody bag on registration, there are no expectations on the riders who can ride as few or as many laps as they would like. Registration will be open all day, so come along whenever suits.
The aims of the Builth Bike Bash charity is to encourage more people to enjoy riding their bikes. They have succeeded this year in getting a BMX style pump track built in the town and want to continue to promote the joy of cycling.
