POLICE say a three-vehicle collision that occurred in Powys earlier this month would have been avoided if one of the three had not been driven with defective tyres.
Dyfed Powys Police’s Roads Policing Unit tweeted images of the “at fault” vehicle after it had been involved in a collision with two other vehicles on the A40 near Halfway, between Trecastle and Llandovery, on Saturday, September 3.
“Three-vehicle collision on A40 near Halfway,” police said in a post.
“’At fault’ vehicle found to have cord exposed on both front tyres. Collision would have been avoided if they were in good condition.
“£100 and 3 penalty points per tyre or a day in court await.”
