A POWYS man has been fined and had penalty points put on his licence after admitting the unusual offence of driving a tractor with the ply or cord of the rear tyre exposed.
William James Powell, 28, admitted the offence from March 17 this year. Powell, of Wern, Llanyre, was stopped driving a Deutz Fahr tractor at 11.37am on the A44 at Penybont.
The rear offside of the vehicle was fitted with a tyre which had the ply or cord exposed, Llanelli Magistrates' Court heard on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Powell was not present but will have to pay an £80 fine as well as £90 costs and a £34 surcharge. His driving record will also be endorsed with 3 points.
