Powys Teaching Health Board has announced which medical services will be available during the upcoming bank holiday.
The board has announced that it will be operating a bank holiday service “in line with national guidance from Welsh Government" on Monday, September 19 as the Queen's State funeral will be taking place.
A spokesperson said this will enable individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to the late Queen and commemorate her reign – marking the final day of the period of national mourning.
In line with this the board has announced that it will be in contact with patients who have booked appointments or operations that need to be rearranged.
Primary care services such as GP practices and NHS dental practices will be closed. However, GP out of hours and emergency dental services will remain available by calling 111.

The board is also advising those who are on a regular prescription to “ensure that you have planned ahead for any repeat prescriptions that you will need over the Bank Holiday weekend.”
For those in need of urgent care the minor injury units in Brecon Hospital, Llandrindod Wells Hospital, and Welshpool Hospital will be open as normal. Whereas Ystradgynlais Hospital Minor Injury Unit will be closed.
Urgent care advice is also available from 111.wales.nhs.uk or by ringing 111. Accident and emergency departments, and 999 services will be operating as normal.
Covid-19 Vaccination Clinics in Bronllys Hospital, Llandrindod Wells and Newtown Park Street Day Centre will remain open. If you have been offered a Covid-19 vaccination appointment on Monday and would like to change your appointment, you can use the details in your booking letter to contact their booking hub.
For appointments in hospitals outside Powys the health board advises that you check with your health care provider.
