TAI Jones starred with two goals as Rhayader Town overcame the challenge of Carno to seal a 4-2 win and a place in the second round of the Welsh Trophy this afternoon.
Jones struck twice before the Greens stormed back with Ioan Humphreys and Tyler McCarthy restoring parity by the hour.
Sion Herman fired Rhayader back into the lead before Bradley Goodwin secured victory late on.
Meanwhile Adam Biggs struck twice as Llansantffraid left it late to seal a 2-1 win at home to Montgomery Town with Aiden Oakley netting for the Canaries.
Goals from Lyndon Jones and Rudi Griffiths guided Builth Wells to a 2-0 win at Machynlleth.

Llanrhaeadr celebrated a 4-0 win at home to Berriew with David Morris-Roberts, Ryan Broadbent, Sean Jones and James Burgess goals enough for the hosts.
Elsewhere Dolgellau AA needed penalties to see off the challenge of Radnor Valley after the sides scrapped out a goalless draw at the Bypass before goalkeeper Cian Williams emerged the hero in a 4-1 shoot out triumph.
Llandrindod Wells toiled for a 3-1 win at 10 man Tywyn Bryncrug who saw Gwilym Jones sent off after 24 minutes.
By then the Spamen led through Ashley Jones' goal and a Robbie Nicholls double sealed their progress while Iwan Richards reduced the arrears.

Neil Mitchell led Caersws to a 4-0 win at home to Meifod with two goals while Glynn Coney and Scott Williams strikes ensured a comfortable afternoon for the Bluebirds.

Karl Seliaerts added a double while Nyasha Mwamuka, George Mitten, Jake Brown and Jack Jones goals completed the rout while Crosses replied with a Will Howard brace and Jimmy Hayns strike.
Kieran Dovey bagged a four goal haul as Knighton Town made light work of Dyffryn Banw in a 5-1 win.

Penparcau booked their place in the second round of the Welsh Trophy with a 2-1 win at home to Barmouth United on Friday night.
Ryan Edwards and Mattie Davies goals gave Arky an interval lead before the visitors set up a tense finale with Paul Lewis reducing the arrears.
Meanwhile Brecon Corries made light work of Cwmcarn United with goals from Joel Evans, Nathan Williams and Paul Keddle settling a 3-0 win at Rich Field.
Ryan Davies starred with two goals as Tregaron Turfs strolled to a 5-1 win at Presteigne St Andrews.
Jac Hockenhull, Rhodri Jones and Dylan Davies goals completed the drubbing as the Turfs eased to the second round.
