A popular scarecrow festival held near Llanidloes has raised more than £1,630 for the Wales Air Ambulance.
All in the name of charity, the annual Upper Severn Scarecrow Festival held from Glan y Nant and all the way to the scenic Hafren Forest raised a "fantastic" amount for the life-saving service that currently has a base in Welshpool.
Every year, hundreds of people descend on the rural community to enjoy six miles of scarecrows. This year the festival was held between Friday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 26, and people were encouraged to create their scarecrows, including French themed to celebrate Llanidloes twin town Derval.

A spokesperson for the Scarecrow Organising Committee said: "Many thanks to all those who made the scarecrows, without whose efforts there would be no festival; the tea and cake suppliers in the forest and at Cae Felyn open garden, and their hardy visitors and the visitors and locals who helped raise this money and make this so worthwhile.
"Wishing for finer weather next year. Fantastic job. Well done all. Scarecrows gone fishing till next year!"
