Powys residents have been told to make sure bins, bags and boxes are out by 6am during this week's extreme heat.
Waste collection crews are starting early during the cooler hours of Thursday and Friday (August 11 and 12) to avoid the extreme afternoon temperatures.
Temperatures in Powys are expected to reach highs of 31C in Newtown and Builth Wells.
Powys County Council said: "To beat the heat and keep them safe, our collection crews will be starting early on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (10, 11 and 12 August) so they avoid the extreme afternoon temperatures. Please help them by making sure your bins and boxes are out by 6am."
