Powys County Council asks residents to correctly sort their recycling
Welshpool residents have the chance to claim a cash reward for recycling as part of a trial this summer.
The new digital deposit return scheme for some recyclable drinks containers is being developed in partnership with Welsh Government, the DDRS Alliance, local retailers and Powys County Council.
Welshpool residents will be invited to take part in the trial, and will be able to claim a 10p reward for each item recycled through the trial.
A statement from the council said: "You may have noticed some articles in the trade media about an exciting new recycling trial coming to Welshpool later this year.
"More information will be made available and sent direct to all Welshpool residents later in the summer."
