On Sunday morning, firefighters rushed out to the scene of an incident at Bishop’s Castle.
On July 17, at 10.22am, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open from Bishops Castle.
A fire classified as Fire In Open is one that is started by a fire outdoors, such as campfires or in this instance the burning of waste products and rubbish that gets out of control.
The fire involved burning tyres that covered an area of approximately 10m by 10m.
One fire appliance was mobilised from Bishop’s Castle where they wore breathing apparatus to battle the fire with a hose-reel jet.
Firefighters left the scene at 11.50am.
