THESE stunning pictures show a huge RAF military transport aircraft as it passes over the Mach Loop and Snowdonia.
Photos taken from alongside a pair of C130 Hercules, flown by 47 Squadron, show the aircraft conducting a low-level formation training sortie through Wales' largest National Park.
It included a pass through the iconic Mach Loop, before heading back towards RAF Brize Norton.
The Hercules has been seen over Welshpool in recent times, making visits to Mid Wales Airport to practice steep landings as recently as May.

And it's well-known as a regular visitor to the Mach Loop, one of a number of RAF aircraft which use the Loop for training purposes.
An RAF spokesperson explains: “Low flying is a perishable skill that requires regular practice for pilots and weapon system operators to maintain their flying currencies.
"It gives crews the ability to avoid enemy detection in a high-threat environment and to deliver air dropped cargo to ground troops or for humanitarian missions.
"It also makes for a unique view for our photographers who get the chance to capture the stunning scenery and aircraft throughout the sortie.”
