As temperatures across the region are set to rise, people are being warned not to take a dip in Powys' reservoirs.
Hafren Dyfrdwy has urged people to stay safe and keep out of its reservoirs as temperatures soar to 26 degrees and above in Powys today.
The warning is directed to anyone thinking about cooling off in their reservoirs in the hot weather, as they can be dangerous places to swim.
The water company manages Lake Vyrnwy and Lyn Clywedog in Powys.
Hafren Dyfrdwy has issued the warning due to the hazards in reservoirs posed by strong currents, freezing temperatures and hidden dangers under the surface.
Dan Taberner, visitor experience manager at Hafren Dyfrdwy, said: “It’s always fantastic to see people enjoying our wonderful sites and while we really want to encourage people to enjoy themselves in the lovely weather, we’d like to remind people to stay out of the water.
“We know how tempting reservoirs can look in the warm weather, but we don’t have lifeguards on site or safe swimming areas, so we’d ask visitors to not take that risk.”
