Comedy legend Bernie Clifton will be the guest of honour at a senior citizens' party to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The TV star, who found fame for his partnership with an ostrich outfit in the 1970s and 80s, is due to be at Welshpool Town Hall next Tuesday.
A coffee morning and table top sale will be held this coming Saturday, May 28 at the Corn Exchange Welshpool from 10am to raise funds for the senior citizens party. Tables are £6 and includes a complimentary drink for the stall holder.
The party itself will take place on Tuesday, May 31, in the Town Hall Welshpool from 2pm with doors open at 1.30pm.
Headlining the cabaret show will be Clifton, who will be joined by a full supporting programme. Tickets for the party are £8 and available from Welshpool Jewellers.
