CONNOR Bird struck twice as Llanidloes Town ended the season on a high with a 2-0 win over Brecon Corries to be crowned Central Wales Cup champions in Presteigne today.

Elsewhere a last minute strike from Mark Edmonson saw Tywyn Bryncrug prevail 3-2 winners over Tregaron Turfs to lift the ER Jenkins Cup in Bow Street.

Edmonson's 36th minute opener was cancelled out by Rhun Garner before the break before Rhodri Jones fired the Turfs ahead early in the second-half.

Edmonson levelled with six minutes remaining before completing his hat-trick in injury time as the Cormorants lifted the cup.

Llanilar completed a Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League and cup double with a 2-0 final win over Borth United on Friday night.

Ryan Hopkins struck twice at Park Avenue as Llanilar underlined their dominance of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League by lifting the Len and Julia Newman Trophy.
