AN ANTI-Brexit activist who gatecrashed a Welsh Conservative Conference dinner at a Caersws venue says he was assaulted and had property taken.
Steve Bray, who states he is also an activists against 'corrupt Tories' tweeted to say that he was set to stay at Maesmawr Hall, in Caersws on Friday evening.
He has published a video to his social media feeds to show that he took out a microphone while guests for the conference supper looked on at the venue, where he himself had booked to stay.
In the video, he is shouting, via the microphone, for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to 'go' – repeatedly shouting 'go Boris, go' – before guests are seen dragging him out of the venue to applause.
The guests also took his microphone off him and Mr Bray later tweeted: "We were staying here at Maesmawr Hall originally for one night (on Friday).
"This was where the Welsh Tory Party Conference supper was being held.
"The manager had other ideas; we ended up having a party 40 miles away at the Holiday inn in a lift."
Mr Bray says he was then escorted out of the county by police, publishing a picture of himself to his Twitter feed in the van, after they had retrieved his property.
