Considering the lack of interest that the political parties showed in my area the people of Llandrindod North could be forgiven if they thought there wasn’t a local government election.
The Labour Party, Plaid Cymru and the Conservative Party didn’t contest the election.
I didn’t know there was a Green Party candidate until I saw the ballot paper.
Okay, we had a few posters and leaflets through the door from the Liberal Democrats but it was a half hearted complacent attempt at canvassing.
I did what I did in the last few elections; deliberately spoilt my ballot paper because there was nobody worth voting for.
If the political parties aren’t interested in me I’m not interested in them.
Politicians appear on TV telling use how much support they have; they’re deluding themselves.
If they think we believe them, they’ll think we’ll believe anything they say.
