A couple from Caersws will today (Monday) feature on the popular BBC One antiques game show Bargain Hunt.
As the red team, Noreen and Tony Thorn will try their hand at recognising and buying antique items guided by expert Jonathan Pratt.
The programme will be presented by Whitchurch auctioneer Christina Trevanion at the Wrexham Antiques Centre before the teams and their experts head to the auction in Dudley.
The long-running show that pits two teams against each other to find the best bargains for their money will be shown on BBC One at 12.15pm.
Tony said it was "great fun" seeing how the programme is put together.
"Choosing your items is a lot harder than you think but with the help of our expert JP we found some great things to go to auction," he said.
"The BBC crew took really good care of us and I would recommend anyone to have a go and apply. We won’t reveal how we got on as you will have to see the programme yourself to find out”.
Bargain Hunt will also be available to watch on BBC iPlayer after the programme has been aired.
A summary of the programme says: "Christina Trevanion is in Wrexham, where the red and blue teams are guided around the antiques centre by experts Jonathan Pratt and Tim Weeks. Then it is off to the auction in Dudley. Meanwhile, Christina finds out about the history of Chester silver and why it is so desirable to bargain hunters."
