One person has been airlifted to hospital after they were injured in a collision involving a trailer in Newtown.
Emergency services were sent to New Road at about 8.40am on Thursday morning following reports of a collision outside St David's Church.
Following treatment at the scene by Wales Air Ambulance medics, the pedestrian was airlifted just after 9.50am to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Their condition is not yet known.
A police cordon remains in place between St David's Church and Ffordd Croesawdy and the public have been told to stay away from the area while accident investigators carry out their work.

A trailer carrying temporary traffic lights and a maintenance lorry remain at the scene along with police vehicles while the road is closed to motorists.
Dyfed-Powys Police investigating this morning's collision are appealing for witnesses.
They have asked anyone who saw the incident in New Road at around 8.40am today to come forward.
