A 19-year-old man from Newtown charged with having dozens of indecent images of children and extreme animal porn has admitted the offences.
Dylan Sutton pleaded guilty to five separate charges relating to 19 indecent images of a child and eight extreme pornographic images between May 2018 and January 2021.
They included 10 category A moving images of a child – the most serious category of image – three category B still images, four category C still images and two category C moving images.
The final charge alleged that he had extreme pornographic images – specifically two still and six moving images which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an obscene act with a live unknown animal. He also admitted that offence.

Robert Hanratty, acting for Sutton, told Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday that the case involved "not a large amount of images".
"Only on a small number of occasions he has clearly viewed something of an illegal nature," Mr Hanratty said.
The case was adjourned until the next hearing on June 27 at Welshpool Magistrates' Court while a pre-sentence report by the probation service is prepared.
Sutton, of Lon Maesycoed, Newtown will remain on unconditional bail but he must register as a sex offender with the police who will monitor him because of his convictions.
