Our live feed has now finished.
- Our local democracy reporter Elgan Hearn is live at the Royal Welsh Showground at Llanelwedd as votes in yesterday's election are counted. We'll bring you all the results live.
- The results generated a huge shock, with Powys Council leader Rosemarie Harris losing her seat to Liberal Democrat challenger Jackie Charlton - see 11.21 update.
- Education portolio holder Phyl Davies has also lost his ward, with two Liberal Democrats - one thought to be the council's youngest-ever member - taking the Llanidloes seats.
- The final outcome sees the Liberal Democrats become the largest group in Powys with 24 seats in the council chamber - but they are well short of the 35 councillors needed for a majority.
- Talks are now likely to be held to establish what happens next, with a coalition administration likely.
