More than 285 homes in the Maesyrhandir area received a hamper of food over the Easter period as part of a Newtown church's community outreach.
Hope Church has given out Easter eggs to children, held football training for 'lads and dads' at Maldwyn Leisure Centre, and afternoon tea for older residents at no cost to the community through its Hub of Hope Foundation.
Volunteers from the church also helped collect rubbish, cut hedges, and filled up several skips which was welcomed by the community. Executive Director of the Foundation, Avril Morgan, described the response as “amazing”.
