A POWYS motorist steered into trouble when they passed officers using a mobile phone and ended up being arrested for drug driving.
The incident happened in Welshpool on Thursday, April 14. Police said the driver passed officers while using their phone so was stopped. During the stop they were also found to be in possession of cannabis and failed a roadside drug test.
“Stop in Welshpool this afternoon. Driver passed officers using their mobile, driver also in possession of cannabis and provided positive road side drug swipe,” tweeted Dyfed Powys Police’s Roads Policing Unit. “Trip to custody and bloods taken await results.”
